Today, I got the windshield on my car repaired yet again. A few weeks ago, a rock flew up from a truck going the other way on the highway and smashed into the glass. It scared the bee-boops out of me and was particularly disturbing because if it had been going a little faster and made it through the windshield, it probably would have killed me. The rock did leave a huge starburst whack on the glass, but it wasn't in my field of vision, so I decided to ignore it for a while.
I had to stop ignoring the problem yesterday, when the cold caused the starburst to become a comet. As I drove into town, I watched in fascination as the crack traveled across the glass in both directions. So I stopped by the glass repair place and made an appointment. In this area, I think that the guys who do windshield repair have job security pretty much forever. We have a lot of rocks.
In any case, the rock didn't take me out, so clearly my number wasn't up. That's good because it means I was able to finish our Web Business Success book. I just got the web site done this morning, and the books arrived this afternoon. The dogs were pretty excited about the cases of books and gathered around.
Apparently, the books passed the sniff test, so they are ready to sell ;-)
